Yana Sahle
I am an art student at the University of Osnabrück and have a particular interest in interpersonal moments, physical presence and the atmosphere of everyday scenes. In my work, I combine personal memories, cultural influences and sensory perception to create multi-layered pictorial spaces that oscillate between abstraction and figuration.
My painting is inspired by the question of how people move, encounter one another and linger within a space. I often work with warm colour palettes, figurative allusions and spatial depth, which invite the viewer to draw on their own experience and interpretation.
