Felix Hell
is studying Fine Art in the Sculpture and Space class taught by Hans Schabus at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
The world is full of images that capture moments, stories and emotions. Hell is drawn to these images and finds in them endless sources of inspiration. His works arise from a deep fascination with the visual and the need to interpret and reimagine the essence of a moment through his own artistic lens.
Translating a photograph into a painting is a very special form of communication. It is more than just reproducing an image; it is a process of discovery and exploration, as well as a personal engagement with a particular theme.
A photograph is a static moment, frozen in time. When he transfers this moment onto the canvas, he transforms it, adding his own emotions, thoughts and perspectives, or reducing it to what he considers essential.
