2024 – Oil on natural canvas
This modern, small-format painting of the Atlas Mountains captures the raw beauty of this wild landscape. With bold brushstrokes and vibrant colours, the artist blends the dramatic shapes of the rocks and the gentle, flowing curves of the hills into a harmonious whole. The mountains, often rendered in warm ochre tones and earthy reds, contrast with the cool, almost mystical blues of the sky gathering above them. The painting feels both timeless and contemporary – as if it offers a glimpse into an unspoilt world shaped by both nature and human existence. The colour palette and the dynamic composition create an atmosphere of intensity and tranquillity, in which the viewer can sense both the rugged aloofness of the mountains and the simple elegance of the landscape.
Judit Flamich
JUDIT FLAMICH is a multidisciplinary artist and conservator who devotes much of her time to painting. She has travelled extensively throughout Europe and beyond, in search of the subtle connections between humankind and nature that inspire her work. Her creative focus lies on ephemeral visions, which are transformed by the human memory and expanded with new worlds of form and colour. For Judit, this distortion of our conditioned consciousness is the true essence of the human experience, which she brings to life through pigments and textures. She combines this artistic vision with her work as a conservator, thereby building a bridge between the preservation of cultural heritage and the intimate, vivid expression of memories and emotions on canvas.
