Clara Krien

My name is Clara Krien, I am 21 years old and I was born in Leipzig. I have been studying photography at the Ostkreuz School of Photography in Berlin since March 2025. Photography has been a part of my life since childhood and remains my preferred means of communication to this day. The way a single moment can become eternal has fascinated me from the very beginning. But what struck me as even more interesting was the relationship between reality and the image. With every photograph, I try to get a little closer to the truth of things. I mainly photograph people, and always strive to look behind the façade with the help of the camera. The camera creates both distance and closeness at the same time, and it is this ambivalence that fascinates me.
