Monika Mausolf

Born in 1986 in Toruń (Poland). Has lived in North Rhine-Westphalia since 2013. Studied painting in Prof. Lech Wolski’s studio at the Academy of Fine Arts, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (Thorn).  In 2013, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Art History at the Department of Art and Cultural History. Solo and group exhibitions have included those in Niš (2010), Berlin (2011), Kassel (2012), Bilbao (2012), Gdańsk (2014), Toruń (2015) and Münster-Hiltrup (2016). Her main artistic disciplines are painting, drawing and installations. In her artistic practice, Mausolf is fascinated by human beings and the forms of the human body; she is equally interested in objects that explore themes of culture, religion and society. Feminist motifs also feature prominently in her art.
