Dieses Gemälde entstand während meines Aufenthalts an der Kunsthochschule in Bologna. Es ist eine Ode an das Licht, die Farben und den Klang des Südens. Der tiefe Blick und die subtile Malweise spiegeln die harmonisierende Verletzlichkeit und Intimität des Portrait.
This painting was created during my stay at the University of Art in Bologna. It is an ode to the light, the colours and the sound of the south. The deep gaze and the subtle painting style reflect the harmonising vulnerability and intimacy of the portrait.träts wider.

My figurative works are characterised by a soft, clear colour palette and a subtle, almost dreamlike painting style. Through the subtle application of several layers of oil paint, the colours begin to vibrate within one another. I love mixing colours and take this part of the process just as seriously as the painting itself.
In my portrait work, I am inspired by the intimate lighting and the vulnerability of the compositions. The colours become a conduit through which I express all the emotions in the painting. The themes of transience, love, emotions and aesthetics have a strong influence on my creative process. I am also greatly influenced by literary sources in my work. Often, the process of creating a new painting is triggered by a poem, a text or a piece of music.
