He is dedicating the series (City) Landscapes to the exhibition. In his works, impressions from walks and travels are combined with painting. The starting point is photographs, which are first prepared as sketches and then transferred into oil paints. The distinctive feature of his technique, using a palette knife and brush, lies in the dialogue between intuition and creative control – imitating natural forms whilst shaping man-made structures.
Everyday landscapes thus appear in a different light. His artistic perspective invites us to look at familiar paths in a new way. This gives rise to visual worlds that transform familiar places into narrative landscapes.
Noah Rennebaum
As a student of experience, my artistic process is largely shaped by curiosity and experimentation. Vibrant narratives emerge from a blend of figurative and abstract elements through an empathetic, intuitive and controlled visual language. People and nature are inextricably linked and serve as my source of inspiration.Â
