Dabei hatten sich Theoretiker zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts genau das Gegenteil erträumt; nämlich eine Auflösung sozialer Schranken durch die Abwesenheit des Geheimnisses und des Privateigentums, erfüllt in der Radikalität des Glashauses (für Walter Benjamin war das Leben im Glashaus sogar die revolutionäre Tugend schlechthin). Heute erscheint vielmehr die Wiederaneignung heruntergekommener Betonbauten revolutionär. Ließe sich ein Leben im verlassenen Bunker für all diejenigen vorstellen, die wir uns keinen eigenen Wohnraum leisten können? Wie könnte dieses (Zusammen)leben aussehen? Und ist schlussendlich Beton transparenter als Glas?Â
In Anlehnung an Virginia Woolfs "A Room of one's own" fasse ich den hermetischen Raumdes Bunkers als Projektionsfläche für Wohnträume auf, in denen sich kollektive Wünsche und Nöte meiner Generation spiegeln.
Die Serie wurde im April 2025 in der Galerie Frise Hamburg im Rahmen des Residenzstipendiums "Partnerstädte" ausgestellt.
