Die (B)Engel-Serie besteht bisher aus vierzehn Arbeiten.
Die Motive entstehen digital und setzen sich aus verschiedenen Fotos zusammen. Es ensteht eine grobe Collage, die als Vorlage für die Zeichnung dient. Diese wird auf eine Platte übertragen, die vorher bereits teils mit Raufaser tapeziert und grundiert wurde. Das Motiv wird meist mit abgetönter Wandfarbe „ausgemalt“ und mit Edding nachgezogen.
Dabei entstehen Bilder in einem gleichbleibenden, pastelligen Farbraum. Die Wandfarbe, die Rausfasertapete, der Edding, die Buntstifte oder generell die „einfache Technik“ brechen mit dem detaillierten, konstruierten Motiv.
Konstruierte Körper- und Rollenbilder schleichen sich in die betont „hübschen“ und kitschigen Bilder und werden hinterfragt.
Und ich hab auch einfach großen Spaß dabei diese Bilder zu malen! ;-)

My works are usually created in series, and I enjoy working with materials that come my way – be it wooden panels from the bulky waste, plastic flowers from a flea market, and so on. This often dictates the format straight away.I enjoy ‘rough’ working methods, for example using construction adhesive, and then I paint the pictures in light – I’d even say kitsch – pastel wall colours to contrast with this roughness. I ‘make it pretty’. In doing so, I like to stick to this DIY catalogue aesthetic. In keeping with this theme, some of the ‘(B)Angel pictures’ are also set against kitsch textured wallpaper. In this series, the focus of the work is, on the one hand, a critique of existing body and role stereotypes, and on the other, an imaginative glorification of them.
