About the works
“I don’t make sketches. I react to my surroundings and my perceptions, and use these impulses as catalysts.”
Tama Gono’s painting oscillates between abstraction and figuration, between artistic exploration and improvisation. The forms and figures remain closely linked to the colours and gestures from which they emerge. In this way, sociological, psychological and historical questions are explored artistically.
