Ich habe dieses Bild in einer Phase der Veränderung gemalt.
Nach einem Unfall war meine Beweglichkeit eingeschränkt. Die Frau sitzt, dehnt sich, ist ganz bei sich. Ihre Haltung wirkt ruhig und geerdet, fast so, als würde sie Wurzeln schlagen, während sich innerlich vieles neu ordnet.
Der Fuß ist eine hartnäckige Erinnerung daran, dass Heilung ihr eigenes Tempo hat. Auch wenn sich der Geist weit und verbunden fühlt, sagt der Körper manchmal leise: noch nicht.
Also warten.
Verwurzelt.
Im Vertrauen.
I painted this piece during a time of transition.
After an accident, my mobility was limited. The woman is seated, stretching, fully present with herself. Her posture feels calm and grounded, almost as if she is taking root, while much within her is quietly rearranging.
The foot is a stubborn reminder that healing moves at its own pace. Even when the mind feels expansive and connected, the body sometimes whispers softly: not yet.
So we wait.
Rooted.
In trust.

. Born in Colombia and now based in Munich, DuArte’s artistic work is deeply autobiographical and characterised by a dynamic interplay of cultural influences and personal experiences. Inspired by Abstract Expressionism and the symbolic power of Surrealist imagery, she explores themes such as femininity, identity and belonging in her works.Â
Her artistic career began at an early age and was decisively shaped during her school years by a large-scale work inspired by chess and Dal۪̉s melting clocks.
She studied political science and fine art at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, furthered her training through life drawing and under the mentorship of the illustrator Rodez, and studied under Elvira Bach at the Kolbermoor Art Academy. After living in Geneva and Italian-speaking Switzerland, she currently lives in Germany, where she is once again devoting herself intensively to exhibiting and selling her works. Bianca speaks four languages fluently and is part of Munich’s international art scene.
Her autobiographical art explores transculturality, femininity and the connection between nature and identity. Her works revolve around central questions of self-positioning: How do I find my place in a globalised world? And ultimately: how can nature, as a unifying element, bring us closer together across cultural boundaries? At a time when national identity and notions of femininity are becoming increasingly fluid, DuArte seeks new forms of understanding and connection through her art.
