Es vereint Dunkelheit und Helligkeit auf einzigartige Weise und wirkt auf Betrachter*innen beruhigend und energiespendend. Ein heller Fokus in der Mitte steht für Veränderung und Positivität und stellt die Naturgewalt dar. Als Inspiration für dieses Werk, diente ein Gewitter, welches an einem Februarabend bei Dämmerung seinen Lauf nahm. Beim Malen war das Wetter auch im Haus deutlich hörbar und wirkte beruhigend sowie energiespendend auf mich. Die Kombination der Farben ist eine optimale Balance und schafft eine einzigartige Komposition. Die Mischung aus Acryl, Ölpastelle, Wegnehmen von Farbe und Spachteltechnik machen das Bild einmalig und lassen Sie die Welt um Sie herum vergessen.

She begins
her paintings by carefully selecting her materials, favouring 100 per cent cotton for her canvases. The priming is carried out gently to preserve the canvas’s unique absorbency.
During the creative process, she draws inspiration from relaxing music whilst enjoying a cup of coffee. Light colours dominate her palette, designed to evoke positive emotions. The brush
becomes her dance partner on the canvas, and together they create a choreography of lines and planes.
Radspieler has already collaborated with renowned Austrian artists. Together with Georg Petermichl, she documented Heimo Zobernig’s new works ahead of the reopening of
the Austrian Parliament and the Austrian Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale, which featured works by Ashley Hans Scheirl and Jakob Lena Knebl. She recorded these experiences, together with Petermichl and her fellow students, in the book *Irgendwas um Räume*.
Her works, characterised by vibrant colours, symbolise courage, self-confidence and self-love.
Kathrin Radspieler uses painting as a medium to bring about positive change in the world of her viewers.
