The canvas is mounted onto stiff cardboard for dispatch – including a certificate of authenticity and the artist’s signature on the reverse.

The figures are immersed in their own inner worlds. Surrounded by deep shades of blue and violet, their bodies almost dissolve into the space, as if they were part of a current. Light-drenched areas trace the contours of their arms and faces – vulnerable, open, tentative. The colour scheme appears cool yet protective, like water that envelops and sustains.
The work explores a moment of self-discovery: retreat, concentration, transition. The contours are deliberately fragmented; identity appears not fixed, but in flux. A tension arises between the figure and its surroundings, born of proximity and dissolution – a state between being and becoming.
The painting speaks of intimacy, inner peace and the quiet process of coming to understand oneself anew.

Since 2018, my life has revolved around painting. After completing my degree in graphic design in 2025, I began studying fine art at the HfBK Dresden.
My works are nostalgic, left-leaning pieces that explore my own emotional worlds.
Each piece captures a moment that isn’t clear-cut – a state of in-between. Lines, colours and shapes reflect inner processes that can’t always be put into words. The works invite you to recognise yourself in these transitions, regardless of gender or identity.
