My little work of art, ‘Chinese Garden’, is an abstract painting that came about through intention. Inspired by the diversity of nature, I aim to capture natural features through painterly abstraction and nature itself. For me, nature represents freedom, a chance to find peace, to engage with reality, to organise one’s own feelings and to do oneself some good. It is something between reality and a wish – how nature should be and how one imagines it as the perfect habitat.
‘Chinese Garden’ is a unique piece, measuring 7 x 7 cm and 7 mm deep.
It belongs to the ‘acrylic on canvas’ category. The surface has been sealed with a transparent protective varnish after painting.
My artworks can be distinguished from those of other artists by the gold border around the canvases and the gold signature bearing my initials “L. C. L.”.
