Oleksii Gnievyshev

For me, art is a way of bringing to light the deep connection between humankind and nature – a connection rooted in our subconscious, our emotions, experiences and inner strengths. Every painting is a window into a world in which we can rediscover ourselves as part of nature.

I believe in the great power of art: it can help us rediscover our primal relationship with nature and experience a sense of harmony and belonging. Through years of creative work and self-reflection, I have come to realise that art is a silent dialogue between humankind and the natural world. In my paintings, the subconscious, lucid dreaming, meditation and sensory perception intertwine to form a unity that reflects this connection.

I am convinced that a more conscious experience of this relationship between humankind and nature can bring about positive change in our society – leading to greater mindfulness, understanding, inner balance and peace.

Oleksii Gnievyshev is a highly professional artist and a master of realistic painting. Born in Ukraine in 1991, he successfully graduated from the Kyiv Academy of Arts and studied for five years under his private tutor, Volodymyr Bahalika. He has been living and working in Brühl, Germany, since 2014. His works are held in private collections and museums worldwide.
