Curtain Call
2024
Acrylic on canvas
50 x 70 cm
My passion for the theatre and the magical atmosphere that surrounds it first really took hold of me whilst I was at university.
Whether as an audience member or as a performer on stage, I enjoy the excitement and tension of a good performance just as much as the gruelling final rehearsal period.
The painting ‘Curtain Call’ depicts an actor standing alone in the spotlight, striking an unmistakably theatrical pose.
With an almost childlike gaze, it captures the sense of wonder and drama that only a good play can evoke in us.
The painting will be signed, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and dispatched unframed.
