Most people associate poolside scenes with holidays and, consequently, a sense of carefreeness. However, if one takes a closer look at this supposed haven of relaxation, one quickly realises that untamed nature and obediently moulded plastic often clash in a rather peculiar way.
This painting explores this contrast in an almost satirical juxtaposition.
The fragmentation of the individual pictorial elements emphasises the artificial atmosphere that often prevails in and around swimming pools, though this does not detract from the painting’s colour scheme.
It is intended for people who view the world with a keen eye and an ironic spirit.
The artwork will be signed, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and dispatched unframed.
