Lukas Häring
(born in Japan in 2001) is an artist with a multicultural background who currently lives and works in Aarhus. Having grown up in Berlin, he received a thorough training in classical techniques under Dmitrijs Schurbin at the Artgeschoss art school. Whilst studying physics, he discovered his passion for the visual arts and later went on to study at the Berlin University of the Arts.
His works combine academic realism with influences from digital pop culture. In his practice, Lukas explores various media and styles – from classical painting to digital drawings. Inspired by observations of nature, everyday scenes and personal reflections, he develops visual narratives that playfully interweave elements of manga, cartoons and video games with traditional techniques.
Lukas is currently focusing more heavily on working on canvas again. His works have already been shown in several exhibitions in Berlin, Leipzig and Aarhus.
