Analogue printing
Solid beech wood frame
One-off/unique piece
I adjust the colouring by hand here. Creating this picture is a craft,
and small irregularities, specks of dust and other such details are all part of the process. This is what makes it unique.
A picture like this will never be created again.
Delivery may take up to two weeks
Colour variations may occur in digital images
The artwork is currently on display at the SKM Gallery in Leipzig and cannot be dispatched until early May. If earlier dispatch is required, individual arrangements can be made with the SKM team.
Luise Oswald
I have been studying fine art at the Berlin University of the Arts since 2020.
In my photographic work, I focus on the close observation of my surroundings. In my current projects, I use a medium-format Zeiss Ikon camera.
I decide manually how many times an image is exposed. This results in double or multiple exposures that look as though they have been painted with a soft-focus filter.
The analogue prints are produced in our large-format photo lab. In the large darkroom, I hang the paper on the wall and have my negatives enlarged in this way. I adjust the colour using filters, so the images are created using light rather than printer ink. As the result always depends on the chemicals in the tank and the orientation of the negative, no two images will ever be exactly the same. These are my one-off pieces on photographic paper.
