Kathrin Schulz
Kathrin Schulz is studying painting and graphic art at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig.
Inspired by emotions that language alone cannot fully capture, by the search for beauty in the mundane, and by historical and pop-cultural events that continue to shape our everyday lives to this day, Kathrin experiments with various painting media and, above all, uses carefully chosen colour contrasts to lend her works both tension and harmony. The focus of her work lies in a figurative representation of the subjects, with the figures’ facial expressions and gestures often becoming a key element of these pieces.
