“Flüsterpost – fairy II” is a single work from the 16-part series “Flüsterpost” (each 60 x 60 cm) and forms part of the four-part group of works “fairy”.
We encounter images of people every day – on posters, in shop windows and on screens. They are also ubiquitous in the city centre: advertising hoardings, fashion campaigns and portraits that demand our attention. Some hold our gaze for a moment; others merely brush past us as vague silhouettes. Every perception is different. What catches the eye is unique to each individual: a colour, a gesture, a feeling. The images change. They are passed on, distorted and reinterpreted. What remains is an echo of the original – an image that is reassembled anew with every perception.

Fabiola Pelzer is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in art education at the University of Augsburg. Her work is guided by the question of what remains visible once a moment has already passed. Her paintings move between perception and memory, clarity and blurriness, and the traces left by immediate experience.
