My sister, who was simply painting her toenails, tucked make-up brushes between her toes, and that’s how this candid shot came about. Without any plan or deeper thought, this image captures the lightness of the moment and reminds us that beauty is often hidden in chance.
The crease cuts across the image and acts as a boundary between two worlds. It is a trace of chance, a moment in which life meets photography and leaves behind something unplanned.
