This work combines painting and textile art in a unique form: tufting – art in wool.
The bold colours and typographical clarity merge to form a textile sculpture for the wall.
The phrase “I saw galaxies in your eyes” is one of my favourite sayings. It serves as a reminder of how much depth, beauty and infinity can lie in a single glance. This poetic message forms the heart of the work – carried by colour, texture and material.
The piece invites you to experience it not only with your eyes, but also with your hands. Words become textures, threads become brushstrokes – a new dimension of artistic expression.
Tufting is a craft technique in which wool is worked into a fabric thread by thread using a special tool. This creates a dense, three-dimensional surface that combines painting and textile art.
Each piece requires many hours of concentrated work and is created entirely by hand – making every piece a distinctive, one-of-a-kind work.
Please note: This is a handmade, one-of-a-kind piece. Minor irregularities in the texture and surface are a deliberate part of the artistic process and emphasise the work’s unique character. They do not detract from the overall effect – on the contrary, they bring the work to life and lend it authenticity.

Artist’s Statement
My painting emerges from an interplay between memory, perception and intuition. Some paintings develop from specific impressions, whilst others arise without a fixed starting point – born of the moment.
My work is process-oriented. The painting emerges through the act of creating: through layers, breaks and decisions that often only become apparent whilst I am painting. I am less interested in the finished motif than in the state the painting finds itself in.
Figurative elements emerge and then dissolve again. Forms remain fragmentary, shift and lose their clarity. At the same time, pictorial spaces emerge that can be experienced emotionally and physically.
Colour is a central medium in this process. It is direct, intuitive and often contradictory. It conveys mood, movement and time without definitively defining anything.
My work is about transitions: between the inner and the outer, between memory and the present, between control and letting go.
The images are not definitive statements, but open states – they remain in flux.
