In my painting, I explore the connection between the body, emotion and abstraction. The figures in my paintings exist in an in-between space between reality and inner experience.
I am particularly interested in the transitions: between figure and space, the inner and outer worlds, the visible and the hidden. Through transparent layers, overlays and dynamic gestures, I attempt to make emotional states visible. Not as fixed narratives, but as fleeting sensations.
Colour plays a central role for me in this process. I work intuitively, allowing myself to be guided by moods, contrasts and impressions.
