In this work, I sought to capture the essence of femininity and inner peace. The three figures, each unique yet interconnected, embody strength, gentleness and the quiet power that resides within each of us. The shells serve as a symbol of retreat, protection and listening inwards – a moment of stillness in a noisy world. The painting is intended to invite viewers to connect with their own peace, beauty and depth.

Alissa Knelz
In her paintings, she explores a wide range of themes that stem from her personal interests and questions. Her works range from realistic, mostly summer-inspired motifs to pieces in which these depictions are combined with abstract or textual elements. The result is a visual language that radiates both tranquillity and strength.
A recurring motif in her work is the depiction of women – as a symbol of inner strength, serenity and a connection with their surroundings. Natural elements such as plants, animals or the marine world merge with the figures, creating poetic visual worlds in which vulnerability and strength find their place in equal measure. Her paintings invite the viewer to pause for a moment and appreciate the beauty of quiet, often overlooked moments.
She has been part of SKM since 2021.
