“For me, drawing is the medium for which I have developed the greatest passion and love. Looking back, it was also my first form of artistic expression. For me, drawing is direct and intimate. In my artistic practice, my aim has become to playfully reflect on sensitive issues relating to sexuality, gender roles and the female experience. Often inspired by the experiences of those around me, the myths and folklore I come across, as well as snippets from digital media and, not least, my own personal experiences. Due to my Brazilian background, I am drawn to incorporating tropical flora and fauna into my scenes. “
