Jeder von uns wird täglich einer erschreckend zunehmenden Zahl an Standards ausgesetzt. Vor allem Frauen sind nach wie vor unter dem Druck, sich immer makellos zu präsentieren: Die Haare müssen perfekt sitzen, die Figur sollte zierlich sein und wehe man sieht Falten im Gesicht. Ähnlich wie ein Dekoartikel wird eine Frau in der "Blüte ihres Lebens" präsentiert, nur um dann später aussortiert, und als unansehnlich verspottet zu werden.
Das Werk "Dekorative Vase" setzt sich ironisch und überspitzt mit den Schönheitsidealen der heutigen Zeit auseinander. Es soll uns alle nochmal daran erinnern, dass wir mehr sind als eine schöne Blume, die irgendwann verwelkt.
Da das Original schnell vergriffen war, gibt es nun die Möglichkeit, eine limitierte Anzahl an kleinen Kunstdrucken des Motivs zu erwerben. Der Kunstdruck ist dabei auf nur 10 Exemplare limitiert und erfolgt auf hochwertigem Papier. Alle Kunstdrucke kommen zudem mit einem Echtheitszertifikat. (Das Werk wird ohne Rahmen geliefert)
Michelle Mall
Michelle Mall was born on 11 July 1997 in Stuttgart. She completed a teacher training degree in biology and art at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and the University of Hohenheim. She now works full-time as a teacher of this subject combination.
Her artistic work focuses on the study of nature, form and colour, as well as various contemporary themes. Her analogue acrylic paintings strike a balance between coarse and fine brushstrokes, whilst her digital paintings present surrealist social criticism in a ‘beautiful’ package. Digital works are also sold as art prints in limited editions.
Art and literature have always been closely linked for her. Texts – whether standing alone or accompanying her work – are an integral part of her practice as an artist. For the past two years, texts and independent publications have become an increasingly significant part of her body of work.
