Gerold Hauer
Since 2001, I have been intensively engaged in painting and graphic art. I have regularly attended art seminars, including those led by Xenia Hausner and Prof. Siegfried Anzinger.
In 2022, I completed my studies in painting at the Kolbermoor Academy under the tutelage of Heribert Heindl and Helmut Geier.
Regular exhibitions in Austria and Germany.
During my years of engagement with the visual arts, I have encountered many interesting artists. Whilst I was initially particularly inspired by the works of Albin Egger-Lienz, Alfons Walde, Egon Schiele and Horst Janssen, in the course of my studies I came into contact with artists associated with American Expressionism, such as Willem DeKooning, Franz Kline and Jean Paul Riopelle, who made a strong impression on me. The works of contemporary artists such as Flora Yukhnovich, Karen Silve and Brian Ruthenberg have also left their mark on my artistic expression. The seminars led by Bogdan Pascu and Stefan Heide have had a particularly strong influence on my style. My focus is on harmonious composition and colour harmony; I draw my motifs primarily from nature, but also from encounters and observations in everyday life.
With my works, I aim to inspire, not to instruct. My aim is to create powerful and expressive works that straddle the boundary between figurative and abstract art.
To this end, I welcome any stylistic device.
