Born in 2001 in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Daniella attended the Deutsche Schule Guayaquil for her secondary education. This enabled her to later travel and begin her fine art practice in Europe, first in Germany and then in Spain.
At the heart of Daniella Santos’s paintings lies the blending of long-cherished traditional techniques with a contemporary touch. The pursuit of realism in her paintings is merely a means of attempting to get closer to the abstract nature of the human condition. The calmness and the chaos of it.
Her studies of the human figure are one of the ways she expresses her fascination and curiosity. And each piece represents a unique connection with the person she is painting.
