Dieses Gemälde besteht aus sechs Leinwänden im Format 60 × 80 cm, die zusammen ein Werk von 120 × 240 cm bilden.
Ich habe begonnen, auf mehreren Leinwänden gleichzeitig zu arbeiten, nachdem ich 2025 die Ausstellung David Hockney 25 in der Fondation Louis Vuitton besucht hatte.
Während des Malprozesses drehe ich meine Leinwände häufig in alle Richtungen. Durch die sechs einzelnen Elemente konnte ich sie außerdem immer wieder neu anordnen und ihre Position verändern. Diese Arbeitsweise ist ein wichtiger Teil meines künstlerischen Prozesses.

Charlotte GENSER
Art student at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris and the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (HGB) in Leipzig, studying under Professor Kerstin Drechsel.
Born in Paris, she studies and works between the HGB in Leipzig and the ENSAD in Paris.
In 2022, I fell in love with Leipzig and decided to set up my studio there. Since then, I have been working, studying and exhibiting between Paris and Leipzig.
There are no rules in my paintings, only things I love and am interested in. It’s about the colours and the ideas I have and develop through the process.
PROCESS
I’m always working on something new. My main focus is always on the colours. I try to capture the atmosphere.
