"Metamorphosis (Ancient Greek μεταμόρφωσις metamórphōsis ‘transformation, metamorphosis, change’), also known as metabolism (μεταβολή metabolḗ ‘change’), refers in zoology to the transformation from the larval stage to the adult stage, the sexually mature, adult animal (change of form). The term refers specifically to animals whose juvenile stages differ from the adult state in form and way of life."
Metamorphosis. The stage of change and structural formation. The experimental work “Metamorphosis” was created within the framework of this central theme. It explores change, development and coming of age.
The painting technique involves watercolour, acrylic paint and fineliners on watercolour paper.

Michelle Mall
Michelle Mall was born on 11 July 1997 in Stuttgart. She completed a teacher training degree in biology and art at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and the University of Hohenheim. She now works full-time as a teacher of this subject combination.
Her artistic work focuses on the study of nature, form and colour, as well as various contemporary themes. Her analogue acrylic paintings strike a balance between coarse and fine brushstrokes, whilst her digital paintings present surrealist social criticism in a ‘beautiful’ package. Digital works are also sold as art prints in limited editions.
Art and literature have always been closely linked for her. Texts – whether standing alone or accompanying her work – are an integral part of her practice as an artist. For the past two years, texts and independent publications have become an increasingly significant part of her body of work.
