The “Microscopy” series was created in 2015 and consists of eight monotypes. The artist experimented with both oil-based and water-based paints, as well as with the ratio of paint to thinner. Through the interplay of chance and deliberate drawing using the oil-blotting technique, forms emerge that are reminiscent of cells and organisms.

I hold a Master’s degree in Art and worked as an art teacher and art educator whilst I was still a student. I am now at the start of my teacher training to become an art teacher. During the brief period between completing my Master’s degree and starting my teaching traineeship, I also worked at the Mülheim Art Museum and helped with its reopening. I love trying out new techniques and possibilities, which is why you’ll find a variety of styles and media in my list of works.
