"Downwards" ~ This work is part of my series TWENTY BLACK LINES and one of my earliest explorations of the possibilities of autonomous drawing. The dots were randomly distributed across the lower section of the work, and the piece was completed according to the following rules: each dot is given twenty black lines, all drawn freehand, side by side, towards the bottom edge of the picture. If the lines meet another black dot, they end there.
