This is a painting from the ‘Dreamscapes’ series, characterised above all by its intertwining brushstrokes, which seem to shoot upwards like plants. The unusual, oval shape of the canvas suits the theme: a seemingly endless process of intertwining and merging.
Leyla Jalili
Leyla Jalili is studying art at the University of Osnabrück. Her main area of work is oil and acrylic painting on large-format canvases. Stylistically, her delicate brushwork and focus on the interplay of light and shadow are particularly noteworthy. In her studio, the artist creates both naturalistic depictions and abstract works on canvas. She captures motifs for her paintings, as well as for her prints and drawings, through photographs and quick sketches that she takes whilst travelling or in her everyday life.
