The artwork is dispatched on glossy paper – including a certificate of authenticity and a signature on the front.
The portrait does not function as a likeness of a person, but as a projection surface for contemporary constructions of identity. The fragmented colour scheme strips the face of its psychological legibility and transforms it into a symbolic form. The undulating structure of the background alludes to inner states, digital flows and the constant shifting of self-perception.
Iconographic references to religious depictions are overlaid with and subverted by pop-cultural symbols, creating a state of limbo between veneration, irony and self-presentation. The work explores visibility as a performative act and raises the question of the extent to which identity today is less a matter of lived experience than of being shaped, reproduced and consumed.
This limited-edition art print thus reflects the tension between uniqueness and reproducibility, between aura and series.

Since 2018, my life has revolved around painting. After completing my degree in graphic design in 2025, I began studying fine art at the HfBK Dresden.
My works are nostalgic, left-leaning pieces that explore my own emotional worlds.
Each piece captures a moment that isn’t clear-cut – a state of in-between. Lines, colours and shapes reflect inner processes that can’t always be put into words. The works invite you to recognise yourself in these transitions, regardless of gender or identity.
