Work IV from the ‘Ostfenster’ series, 2025
The series emerged as part of an artistic exploration using a speculative approach centred on a campus building. The starting point for ‘Ostfenster I–IV’ was an old curtain, yellowed to shades of orange-brown and yellow, hanging in the seminar rooms on the Golm campus.
On closer inspection, I began to rediscover its colours and shapes. I captured them photographically and traced them. Whilst painting, I gradually moved away from the original motif and continued to follow the colours and shapes.
