I sewed this bag from bay leaves as part of an artistic exercise in April 2021.
I wove a bridge between culture and nature, between lacquer and foliage, and let them meet. So similar yet so different, they stand opposite one another, playing with the world of apparent contradictions.
I captured this encounter photographically in two different set-ups.

to “dance”
I often lack the right words to describe exactly what is going on in my inner worlds.
That is why I have written this short poem for my latest works.
I like to paint moods with words, without explaining them.
It is much the same with many of my works.
They atmospherically reflect something that moves more in the subconscious, pushing its way to the surface.
I let feeling, intuition and bodily intelligence dance.
I am now at the end of my four-year degree in sculpture and will soon graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Looking back, I realise more and more that my artistic practice has revolved around a central theme from the very beginning: bodily intelligence
Fascinated, I explore the language without words.
I am delighted if you, too, understand this language and if my sculptures move you to feel, to marvel or to laugh.
