The series ‘Schwarze Piste’, in an ironic pairing with the second work ‘Rote Piste’, creates a compelling expression that evokes both the moment just before the descent and a general sense of anticipation. Whether this actually refers to the moment just before setting off on a ski run or is a free, metaphorical conception of a threshold and a new beginning is deliberately left to the viewer’s interpretation.

In my art, I seek a clear and contemporary aesthetic. The work represents whatever the viewer sees in it.
