Die Bildreihe „Schwarze Piste“ in ironischer Kombination mit dem zweiten Werk „Rote Piste“ bildet einen spannungsvollen Ausdruck, der sowohl das Moment vor der Abfahrt als auch das allgemeine Gefühl der Erwartung evoziert. Ob es sich dabei tatsächlich um den Augenblick kurz vor der Abfahrt beim Skifahren handelt oder um eine freie, metaphorische Vorstellung von Schwelle und Aufbruch, bleibt bewusst der Interpretation des Betrachters überlassen.
