. I paint because it is the best way for me to interpret what we do not see or understand, what is beyond our grasp as human beings.
I paint to understand, and if one day I do understand, I will paint to remember.
My work invites us to contemplate individuals caught in the act of being human.
A body experiencing its own vagaries. This
is conveyed
as much through the presence as through the absence of figures.
Time and space are condensed to explore different states of consciousness.
Understanding the movement of a body undergoing the drifts of the soul.
Understanding what leads to these wanderings.
I work as a draughtsman for the Neumarkt Theatre in Zurich.
Drawing is a way for me to explore and let go.
I want to focus on what I see and forget what I know.
To create a space that belongs to the paper.
I could say the same about painting.
