The allure of the sea, with its vastness, beauty and unpredictability, makes me dream. Hours spent gazing and revelling in it, and then listening intently once more with my eyes closed. All my senses tell me this is home.
This painting, inspired by Tuke – the second in a series on the theme of the sea – evokes a sense of calm and, at the same time, longing within me.
