Hannah-Sophia Eckart
“For me, symbiosis means: allowing oneself to lose oneself, in order to find oneself again on another level.”
Her painting moves between figuration and abstraction. Female bodies appear as translucent, sensitive structures that interweave with colour, surface and their surroundings. This gives rise to visual worlds in which visibility and dissolution, line and atmosphere merge. The choice of colour – often blue, turquoise, purple and warm shades of pink – is intuitive and lends the composition a deliberate emotional harmony. For some time now, she has also been expanding her artistic practice to include ceramic forms.
Many of her works evolve from a body-centred, feminine visual language that addresses both vulnerability and strength. Her artistic approach is understood as a search for forms in which closeness can be expressed without being entirely tangible. The inner conflict between the desire for control and the trust in letting go also shapes this process. In doing so, she seeks visual spaces in which intimacy, dissolution and connectedness can be experienced.
