The work “Stormtrooper in Red” makes a striking impression with its powerful presence and dynamic complexity. The focus is on an iconic Stormtrooper motif, bathed in an intense, energetic shade of red. The red colour symbolises strength, passion and perhaps also a hint of turmoil.
The background of the painting tells its own story: This structural foundation lends the work a tangible dimension and invites the viewer to embark on a tactile and visual journey.
The motif of the Stormtrooper, in his characteristic armour, appears almost poetic in this context, despite its martial symbolism. The red hue surrounding the figure lends it a new meaning – it no longer appears merely as part of an anonymous collective, but becomes a symbol of individuality and emotional intensity.
In ‘Stormtrooper in Red’, powerful colour, textured depth and an iconographic motif come together to form a work that raises questions: about order and chaos, the masses and the individual, conflict and identity.
Jutta Schreiber
Artist at SKM since late 2022
The central theme of my work is ‘Finding Roots’ – the search for origins, identity and the connection to what sustains us in life. My works are characterised by multi-layered compositions in acrylic and mixed media, which represent a profound reflection on my personal development and universal humanity.
My works tell stories of stability and change, of the visible and the invisible, and of how we can remain deeply rooted even amidst a constantly changing life.
Through my paintings, I invite you to discover the beauty in the balance between stability and change. For me, art is a rock in the surf, whilst I embrace the ocean of possibilities.
My message is this: no matter how life changes, we always carry our roots and the will to grow within us.
My journey into art was a late one, but all the more intense for it. After decades in a different profession and starting a family, I rediscovered my passion for painting.
At the end of 2024, I completed my degree in painting at the AdbK in Kolbermoor. (Tutors: Heribert Heindl, Helmut Geier and Nina Kohmann)
