This work was created as part of a ‘Film meets Performance Art’ evening in Osnabrück, where the organiser, Anabel Afonso, asked me if I would like to create something inspired by the film Blade Runner (1982). The aim of the concept is to reflect the atmosphere and emotional world of a selected film through the art (music, dance, poetry, images, etc.) of local artists. The intention is to create an intense cinematic experience that heightens the audience’s emotions and inspires them.
Anabel approached me directly because she liked my style and it reminded her of the film. In this piece, I tried to capture the emotional aspect of the film and draw on its mood, colours and lighting. It was a great pleasure to have been part of this event and to have had the chance to chat with art and film enthusiasts.
The painting is signed on the reverse and will be shipped stretched on a stretcher frame, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
The painting can be dispatched from 30 July at the earliest. Due to its size, preparation for dispatch may take up to a week.
