BACHELOR OF ARTS:
2021–2025 Art, Education and Therapy, specialising in drawing
My work explores the physical and psychological engagement with the theme of the body. In doing so, I primarily choose drawing materials to describe my observations of how people relate to their own bodies. In terms of content, I explore the interplay of emotions such as shame, curiosity, sadness, anger, vulnerability, love, scepticism …
It is about exploring and situating one’s own self in a world that often uses the body as a projection screen for sexual desire, gender constructs, a narrow understanding of beauty and social norms. And I keep asking myself how we would relate to ourselves in a world without all these burdens.
