Info: Dies ist das erste Bild meiner neuen Serie „unravel“, wo ich mich mit dem Thema der Nacktheit beschäftige.
Dazu meine Gedanken:
Sich entwirren. Frei machen von Konventionen und Gedankenmuster. Nackt sein. Hier sein. Fühlen und Langsam Sein. Berührung. Schutlosigkeit und Schutz. Wie sehr bin ich in meinem Körper zuhause? Wie nackt bin ich wirklich vor mir und anderen? Hinter welchen Masken verstecke ich mich?
Der Keilrahmen ist 5 cm breit und hat auf der linken Seite eine minimale Wölbung (auf den Fotos erkennbar), dies ist eine bewusste künstlerische Entscheidung, welche aufgrund der Aussage des Bildes ihre Daseinsberechtigung hat.
Marie Hesse
Delicate, light, stormy and dark colours coexist and converge in Marie Hesse’s works to
form an energy of expression. Through her painting, the artist creates an expression of connection
with the feminine and the cyclical, the rhythmic and the physical, and with the inner and
outer worlds. The rhythm of her inner world is conveyed through spontaneous painterly gestures of her body.
As well as painting in her studio, the artist paints live to music as part of a performance.

Marie Hesse completed her Bachelor’s degree in Art, Education and Therapy at Alanus University in the winter semester of 2024, specialising in painting. She attended the painting classes of Jim Harris, Dominik Halmer and Beatricé Chron.
