Felix Dörrenbecher
I am fascinated by the polarities in our world, by phenomena we do not fully understand – all the mysteries and aspects that elude our visual perception, yet are nevertheless perceptible on other, deeper emotional levels. Even fleeting everyday occurrences, in their seemingly superficial insignificance, are, for me, accompanied by a hidden message that I try to visualise. For me, painting is the medium through which I can translate all this into my own visual language, and which gives me the feeling of creating and exploring something that comes closer to the allegories in our lives.
