In Latin, *Venus venerifera* means ‘Poisonous Venus’.
Whilst chrysanthemums can be toxic, particularly to mammals, the Venus symbolises something desirable. Together, they create something beautiful, yet by no means defenceless – rather, something dangerous.

I draw my inspiration from both Greek mythology and personal experiences. Women from my immediate circle influence my motifs just as much as archetypal figures and narratives.
My art is aimed at people who feel alienated or misunderstood in today’s world.
It aims to encourage them to take up space and not conform, and to remind them that they are just as valid as they are.
