Graduation exhibition “zurück, bleibt” ; 2026
Between dream and memory, a space opens up in which loss, guilt, care and transformation merge into one another. Figures and non-human beings encounter one another in a dimly lit scene: in smoke-filled kitchens, at chessboards, on the threshold between life and death. Conversations break off, roles shift, bodies transform, the dead remain present.
The starting point is dreaming as a state in which truths can reveal themselves that remain hidden whilst awake. Not as a riddle to be solved, but as an experience; raw, absurd and yet of great clarity. This work follows the traces of such inner images and asks how one might capture these fleeting spaces.
Amidst silk scarves, black dogs, dancing bodies and flooded memories, a narrative emerges about closeness and absence, about the inheritance of fear and the possibility of enduring pain for a moment without being broken by it.
