Malou & Arit
We are the artist duo ‘Malou & Arit’. Our art is a fusion of photography and illustration. The result is a world that lies somewhere between reality and fiction. We add another layer to photography through what we call ‘digital scratching’. Sometimes we destroy. Sometimes we add. We have been working together since 2018.
We are digital artists who exhibit in both digital and analogue spaces. Nevertheless, we regard the digital files as the original works. That is why we use NFT technology to make the digital work unique and non-reproducible.Â
Arit
began studying Fine Art at the Münster Academy of Fine Art in 2015, specialising in digital art, and became a master student under Professor Andreas Köpnick in 2021. He graduated with a diploma in 2025. Köpnick’s analytical approach to image composition is evident in Arit’s clearly structured visual language.
Malou
studied illustration at the Münster School of Design under Felix Scheinberger from 2016 and completed her Master’s degree at the Cologne International School of Design in 2023. Her training with Scheinberger fostered her intuitive and spontaneous line work and her willingness to embrace the unfinished.
