In "Dazwischen" beschäftigt sich Merle Renkl mit alltäglichen Handgriffen und dem Blick aus der Ich Perspektive. Spielerisch und humorvoll soll das dazwischen dargestellt und erforscht werden. Auf dem Weg von hier zu da wird die Hand als Momentaufnahme festgehalten um sie in ihrer Funktion zu zeigen: dem Halten. Ob Zahnstocher oder Duschkopf jeder hat diese Dinge schon Mal gehalten. Der dargestellte Blick kann Verbundenheit auslösen und vertraut wirken. Durch die Alltäglichkeit der Szenen kann eine persönliche Erlebbarkeit hervorgerufen werden.

CONCEPT
In my art, I devote myself primarily to painting and drawing. My paintings are characterised by expressive and vibrant colours, whilst my drawings feature clear black fineliner lines in contrast. In terms of content, my work usually focuses on an exploration of modernity and the digital age, but also engages with materials such as rubbish or similar items. Themes such as how we perceive others and ourselves are also frequently present.
The messages and expressions conveyed by the works range from critical of the system to humorous and ironic.
